My friend Gretchen was in town last week from Indiana. We used to have a grand ole time when she lived in Austin almost 2 year ago! Of course we had a blast, and we are not ashamed to admit that on Saturday night we opted for dessert and a movie. It was prefect, except that the movie was awful (Dinner for Schmucks)! I really enjoyed Gretchen's famous cookie dough madness though!
Actually, I had never had it before, but I cannot count the number of times she has told me about this dessert, how you make it, how good it is, etc. etc. After more than 2 years, I can finally confirm that she was SO right! Warm, gooey cookie dough with a little crunch was made for ice cream!
This is so easy and so so bad, but so so good- I think you deserve a little treat every now and then. Warning- do not leave leftover cookie dough in your fridge or you may make this again the next day when your friends are gone!
Gretchen's Cookie Dough Madness (aka Mudslides)
- Cookie Dough (we used Nestle chocolate chip cookie dough, but you could make your own)
- Ice cream (Cookies and cream is my fav!)
- Chocolate sauce (We used chocolate shell)
Preheat a small skillet over medium-high heat. Spray with non-stick cooking spray. Add some cookie dough (you're treating yourself, so don't skimp).
Let it melt a little and get crispy on the bottom- you may have to squish it a little with your spatula.
Flip over and do the same to the other side.
Place in bowl and top with ice cream and chocolate sauce.
Indulge! :)
Definitely send my compliments to the chef on this one! Sounds brilliant.
