Cupcakes

I have ALWAYS loved cupcakes. One of my favorite home videos is from my third birthday party when I gobble up my cupcake and then my sweet cousin hands me his cupcake to eat (after he licked off the frosting of course). My mom intercepted and told me I had had enough cupcakes- too bad! :) haha


Here in Austin there are TONS of delicious cupcake places. One of my favorites is Hey Cupcake. They have a few trailers around town, including one that sells burnt orange cupcakes on home game days. How perfect is that? We often get cupcakes sent to our office at work, so I've now tried most of the places in Austin. It's really hard to go wrong!










I recently came across this website, Ming Makes Cupcakes that has 33 delicious cupcake recipes. Some are a little funky for my taste, but I can't wait to try #24, #11, #10, #9 and #4 in particular. YUM! The thing with cupcakes is that they're hard to transport, which means we're often stuck eating all of them or throwing many away. I've had my eye on one of these cupcake/layer cake carriers. But where am I going to take 2-3 dozen cupcakes? hmmm Anyone having a party? :)
